THE SECONDARY STAGE (Grades IX, X, XI & XII)

“A Flexible Four-Year Design for Depth and Career Readiness”

TAGS embraces the unified, highly progressive Four-Year Secondary Phase structurally defined by the NCF. We have removed the rigid boundaries separating Science, Commerce, and Humanities. Students enjoy a flexible academic ecosystem where they can mix and match subjects according to their unique cognitive strengths, passions, and higher education paths.

Grades IX & X Framework: Focuses on breadth and structural rigour. Students engage across essential curricular fields, driving conceptual mastery. This phase prepares students for the All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) administered by the CBSE at the conclusion of Grade X, prioritizing analytical thinking over rote memorization.

Grades XI & XII Framework: Focuses on depth, specialization, and choice. Students select highly customized combinations from a wide matrix of academic options to match their professional aspirations. This phase thoroughly readies students for the CBSE Board Examinations and competitive university admission assessments.

Curricular Domains and Elective Matrix (Grades XI–XII)

To ensure student choice, our subjects are grouped across comprehensive domains. Students must satisfy the core language requirements and are then free to curate their multi-disciplinary subject choices:

Domain 1: Languages & Humanities
English (Core) (Comp.), History, Geography / Pol. Science, Psychology / Sociology

Domain 2: Business & Economics
Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Entrepreneurship

Domain 3: STEM & Innovation
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Information Practices

Domain 4: Creative Arts & Wellness
Fine Arts / Painting, Physical Education, Yoga & Wellness

Cross-Domain Freedom Example: A student can select Physics, Mathematics, and Economics alongside History and English, successfully bridging STEM and Social Sciences without institutional constraints.

Assessment & Future Focus

Competency-Based Evaluation: Assessments test application, analysis, and synthesis of concepts rather than memorized information.

Higher Education & Career Mapping: Intensive guidance workshops, portfolio design, and integrated preparation tracks for major competitive higher education enrollment pathways are standard components of the Grade XI & XII curriculum.
